Google Australia has continued its tradition of recording a net loss.
It recently reported a net loss of $3.9 million and revenue of $151 million detailed in its statement to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
The results are in line with Google Australia’s previous performance figures, reporting a net loss of $3.1 million on $151 million revenue in 2010 and, according to TechnologySpecator, a loss of $4.4 million on $110 million revenue in 2009.
In its ASIC submission, it was revealed Google paid only $781,471 in local taxes on 568 Australian employees.
Google’s international operation is considerably more lucrative following a reported Q1 net profit of US$8.14 billion.
