Major products that were expected to be announced at a Google launch event next month appear to have already leaked.
Along with the new ‘Pixelbook’, images and details of the upcoming Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, Google Home Mini and Daydream View have all leaked via Android-focused news site Droid Life.
The Pixel 2 XL, manufactured by LG, will be priced below the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8 based on the US pricing revealed by Droid Life, which puts the 64GB model at US$849 and the 128GB model at US$949.
Two different colours of the Pixel 2 XL are expected to be available: a standard black colour called ‘Just Black’, as well as a combined ‘Black & White’ version pictured below:
According to Droid Life, the standard Pixel 2, manufactured by HTC, will also be available in 64GB (US$649) and 128GB (US$749) capacities, with colours including ‘Kinda Blue’, ‘Just Black’, and ‘Clearly White’.
Meanwhile, the Google Home Mini will complement the company’s full sized smart speaker with support for all of the functionality of Google Assistant.
Droid Life reported the Google Home Mini will be available in Chalk, Charcoal and Coral, with the base colours not able to be customised like the full sized Google Home. Pricing for the speaker is set at US$49, which would translate to about $75 based on existing pricing.
Rounding out the leaks is an updated version of Google’s VR headset Daydream View. Little is known about the technical features of the new headset, but Droid Life said it would be priced US$20 higher than the existing US$79 Daydream View headset. It will be available in Charcoal, Fog and Coral.
