Google could be planning to launch a smaller version of its Home smart speaker and a new Pixel-branded Chromebook alongside new Pixel smartphones later this year.
A report from Android Police suggests the range of new hardware from Google will be revealed at an event sometime in the Spring.
The mini Google Home would likely function similarly to Amazon’s Echo Dot, a smaller version of the Echo that can add Alexa voice control to existing speakers and audio systems.
Limited information is known about the rumoured Pixel Chromebook, which was last refreshed in 2015 and did not receive a release in Australia.
As for the new Pixel smartphones, two new models are expected: a refresh of the original Pixel smartphones released last year, and a larger ‘XL’ model with extra features.
The phones are rumoured to carry even higher price tags than last year’s models.
Google hasn’t confirmed a launch for later this year, but could schedule an event sometime in October, in line with the early October 2016 launch of the Pixel, Home and Chromecast Ultra.
