As tipped by SmartHouse, Google has today began to roll out Android Wear for iOS.
The new capability initially works with the LG Watch Urbane, but Android Wear smart watches will also support iOS in the future, Google said in a statement.
Watches that will be iOS-compatible in the future include models from Huawei, Asus, and Motorola.
The Android Wear watches can be paired with an iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 8.2+. Smart watches running the Android Wear OS display messages, notifications and caller ID from a Bluetooth-connected smartphone. They also let users set fitness goals, track walking and running, and measure their heart rate. The watches also display smartphone-app information on current traffic, flight status, and the like, and users can use a watch’s microphone to activate voice search or create reminders.
