This technology is exclusive to Sharp and will be able to reduce salt, calories and fat content while retaining nutrients.
Sharp’s Divisional General Manager for its Kitchen Appliance Systems Division, Keiko Okada said that with people now becoming more health-conscious, it is important to provide a product that can reduce salt and fat content.
The AX-1500JS offers the benefits of SuperSteam cooking through roasting, grilling and baking. It also features three other cooking methods – Convection, Steam and Microwave. It incorporates an intelligent operating system that displays directions on a large LCD display.
Users can choose from 42 settings that automatically determine the correct time, temperature and cooking method for a selection of popular foods, such as roast beef, steamed fish, baked potatoes, a variety of vegetables and even convenience foods like dumplings or chicken nuggets.
The oven’s unique Complete Meal function uses SuperSteam Convection to cook eight different pre-programmed meals conveniently and save time. All menus and recipes have been specially developed in Australia to suit local tastes and ingredients.
In addition, Sharp has created a SuperSteam cookbook that includes over 50 easy-to-prepare recipes. There is also a guide with optimal cooking methods for a wide variety of foods so users can make the most of the oven’s manual settings. It also comes with two baking trays, a grilling rack and a steam tray.
The Sharp AX-1500JS SuperSteam Oven is available now for $1,649.
