Joy-Con drift is a major headache for Nintendo Switch users, in which the analogue joysticks on the controller stick and register slight movement even when not being touched.
Nintendo is currently facing a number of class action suits for its failure to identify and fix the ongoing issue, but a simple fix discovered by a YouTuber could be the simple solution everyone has been begging for.
‘Victorstk’ of VK’s Channel identified the issue as being the loosening of the metal clamps that hold the internal components together, leaving a gap between the metal and the pads.
The fix? Just jam a small piece of paper in there. The above video will step you through the process, and will no doubt save Nintendo a world of pain, too.
Congratulations – you are an engineer.
