Hitachi is launching a 42-inch plasma panel with 1080 line technology – a fact the manufacturer is claiming as a “world first”.
The 42PD8900TA is HD ready, despite the fact it doesn’t have an integrated HD tuner – it can be combined with a suitable set-top box.
The panel also incorporates Hitachi’s ALIS technology, which uses a higher pixel density than conventional plasmas to create sharp and detailed images.
Other features include a power swivel stand for easy repositioning, an SD memory card slot for photo viewing and twin HDMI inputs.
Further specifications are as follows:
· 1024×1080 resolution
· 68.6 billion colours
· 1400cd/m2 panel brightness
· 4000:1 contrast
· Hi-fi quality speakers
· Fanless design
The RRP of the 42PD8900TA is $4399. More information at www.hitachi.com.au
