Hitachi has released what it claims to be the world’s first 42 inch plasma with an integrated high definition (1080i) digital tuner.
The entire Hitachi plasma TV line up, including the latest 42 incher (42PD960DTA) features proprietary ALIS technology and high pixel density for smooth, natural picture, the company says.
In terms of connectivity, the plasma sports two HDMI, two component video and six AV inputs – so you can hook up anything from your Foxtel box to your Blu-ray player.
For sharing your data across your multimedia devices, the unit also comes equipped with an SD card slot and USB terminal. An RGB terminal is also in place, allowing you to hook up a PC.
And for the couch potato in all of us, the plasma has a motorised swivel base which allows you to change the viewing angle using the remote.
The remote can also operate many different brands of DVD player, Hitachi says and features one touch input switching – so you only have to use the one remote for your gear.
