Netgear has launched two products that allow you to plug into your home network through a regular power outlet, eliminating the need to run cables around the house.
The Powerline range consists of the XE103, an 85Mbps wall-plugged Ethernet adapter and the XE104, an 85Mbps Ethernet extender kit.
Both these products let you connect to the network from any room in the house with a power outlet to share files and devices and to access the internet.
The XE103 and the XE104 connect to a PC through an Ethernet cable and send a broadband connection to the rest of the house through the electrical wiring.
The XE103 provides a single-port network connection through an electrical outlet while the XE104 provides a four-port home network connection.
The RRP of the XE104 is $169 while the XE103 retails for $129. More information at www.netgear.com.au
