Hewlett-Packard Australia has been forced to carved $100 from the price of its soon-to-launch TouchPad tablet days before it goes on sale after poor take up in the USA and poor reviews in Australia. At $499 the 16GB model will now be well under the $579 starting price of a 16GB Apple iPad – but still almost 25 percent more than the US TouchPad price.
