HTC have teased a new product reveal for early next week, with reports suggesting the company will announce its next flagship smartphone, the HTC 11.
A Facebook post by HTC Taiwan initially discovered by TechRadar features an image that reads “Spring is coming”, alongside a date, March 20 2017, and the phrase “HTC will give you an unexpected surprise.”
HTC’s president of smartphones and connected devices Chialin Chang told Tbreak in January that a new HTC flagship would be announced after this year’s MWC “when the new CPU comes”, potentially referring to the Snapdragon 835.
Samsung is rumoured to have completely depleted initial supply of the Snapdragon processor for its upcoming Galaxy S8, set to be launched 10 days after HTC’s announcement.
About two months have passed since HTC first announced its current flagship, the HTC U Ultra, which was only released in Australia last week. TechRadar reported that, although less likely, the announcement teased by HTC Taiwan could be referring to HTC’s upcoming mobile VR device.
