HTC who make some of the top selling smartphones sold by carriers and retailers in Australia is set launch a new M9.
The Company has recently witnessed a rebound following a fall in demand for Samsung and Sony smartphones.
Samsung’s weakening position in the market. Samsung’s profits have dropped and while it struggles to get things back on track, other companies take advantage of the situation.
For the three months ended December 31st, 2014 HTC earning $1.5 billion in revenue and posted a net profit of $15 million.
HTC expects to also have a good first quarter in 2015.
The smartphone Company who recently released the RE camera predicted revenues of $1.31 billion to $1.42 billion.
Next month HTC is among the few OEMs that will show off their latest flagship devices at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona and ChannelNews will be there to report on the event.
High on the agenda will be the One (M9) which is rumoured to house a hefty 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 4-ultrapixel selfie shooter.
There is also talk that there could be a gold coloured version.
HTC is scheduled to reveal the HTC One M9 – which is also rumoured to come in two sizes – on March 1, a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Taiwan-based tech firm has already sent out invitations to their Utopia in Progress event.
Samsung is also expected to stage the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S6 – which has been the subject of rumour mills as frequent as the HTC One M9 – in their own Galaxy Unpacked event set on the same date.
