HTC has just made its new social media-centric smartphones available today, with the ChaCha and Salsa selling through Vodafone. Both Android 2.3 phones have made Facebook an integral part of the user interface, each with a dedicated Facebook button to launch the social media hub.
The ChaCha features a mix of physical QWERTY keypad and a 2.6 inch touchscreen for the text-heavy user that wants the best of both worlds. Under the hood is an 800MHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera on the back end.

The HTC ChaCha can be bought outright for $299 through Vodafone for prepaid customers, though you’ll be hit with an unlocking fee on top of this.
The Salsa features the same Facebook integration, but the dedicated Facebook button is one of the few physical attachments on this purely touch offering from HTC. It holds similar specs to the ChaCha while sporting a design reminiscent of HTC’s older Desire model.
On the plan side, both the ChaCha and Salsa are available today on 24 month contracts on either a $29 Cap or a $45 Infinite plan.
