HTC is bringing its HTC One X9 to the Australian market, today announcing the local launch of the mid-range smartphone.Sporting a 5.5″ full-HD display, the One X9 is equipped with a 13 MP main camera, with optical image stabilisation, featuring an anti-shake lens that reduces blur from hand movements.
Meanwhile, a front-facing 5 MP camera is decked out for selfies, including integrated Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie and Live Make Up capabilities.
The One X9 features BoomSound with Dolby Surround, “delivering clearer vocals, better base and fine detail for music, movies and games”.
“The integrated and dedicated amplifiers deliver a dynamic range of sound, while HTC’s proprietary membrane excursion direct control optimises volume and bass to make your music thump,” HTC states.
The One X9 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, is powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz CPU, and comes with 32 GB on-board memory and 3 GB RAM, with expandable storage up to 2 TB.
“The handset has been carefully crafted to achieve the perfect balance between an elegant and rich design that will satisfy the style needs of our consumers, providing top-of-the-range performance at a mid-range price-point,” Ben Hodgson, HTC Australia and New Zealand country manager, commented.
“The technology encompasses some of the best features of our range, completing the premium smartphone experience for our users.”
Vodafone customers will be able to purchase the One X9 from April 13 for $5 per month on a Vodafone $40 plan over 24 months, with the One X9 to also be available from JB Hi-Fi stores in May. The One X9 is priced at $699 RRP.
