HTC has announced its new ‘U11 Life’ will land in Australia on March 14th. Whilst post-paid plans are exclusive to Vodafone, the company hasn’t revealed which retailers are selling its new smartphone, instead directing consumers to buy from its website.
The U11 Life is HTC’s latest addition to its ‘U’ suite of smartphones, and claims to offer the flagship qualities of its “award-winning” U11, at a more affordable price.
It’s the first smartphone released by HTC after Google bought half its R&D smartphone team late last year. The deal was reportedly worth US$1.1 billion.
The U11 Life features HTC’s famous ‘Edge Sense’ squeeze function, plus Google’s latest software and security via Android One.
Available in ‘Brilliant Black’ HTC’s U11 Life is selling for A$599 outright.
Postpaid plans are available exclusively through Vodafone, including $30 – $100 Red Plans across 12 to 36 months.
Despite its March 14th local launch, HTC states consumers can only purchase the U11 Life online from March 21st.
