Huawei has again been slammed for misrepresenting its smartphone camera capabilities, this time disguising a DSLR image as a selfie captured by its new ‘Nova 3’.

It’s not the first marketing mishap for the Chinese manufacturer, with Huawei famously exposed for photoshopping bezels out of its P8 smartphone renders.

Commentators have slammed Huawei for not learning from previous mistakes, whilst others critique the company for not better disguising its advertising methods.
With its new P20 Pro awarded one of DxoMark’s highest smartphone camera ratings, some claim Huawei may be better off highlighting its cameras’ true capabilities.
