Huawei has released its highest-spec smartphone for $349 outright or on a plan.The Ideos X5 is an Android 2.2-based handset that features a 3.8in, 800×480 touchscreen and runs on an 800MHz processor. It shapes up to 120 x 62 x 11.6 mm.
The 5X includes a five megapixel camera with an LED flash that can record in 720p HD on the MicroSD storage that can range up to 32GB.
The handset comes with Huawei’s mobile hotspot technology built-in so that up to five Wi-Fi devices can hook up to the X5’s data connection.
The Ideos X5, Huawei’s first post-paid handset in Australia, is out now for free on a $29 cap from Crazy John’s or $49 for two handsets on a Twin Cap. Outright, consumers can pick up the handset for $349 from Crazy John’s and Dick Smith.
