IBM and Box have today announced a partnership, by which the two companies will integrate their existing products and services and work on new projects targeted across a range of industries.The partnership will see Box’s cloud technology combined with IBM’s portfolio of security, analytics, content management and social capabilities.
Box will integrate IBM content management tools into its software, while IBM and Box will also work together to integrate Box capabilities into IBM Verse and IBM Connections, IBM’s business email and social collaboration platforms.
IBM and Box will also collaborate to bring enterprise insights using IBM Watson Analytics to content stored in Box. Box will enable joint customers to store their content on the IBM cloud, which will provide for data localisation, and Box will expand on its enterprise security offerings with IBM security technologies.

Box and IBM will also jointly develop content management solutions and incorporate Box technology into select IBM MobileFirst for iOS apps, while IBM will enable enterprise developers to integrate Box APIs on the IBM Bluemix developer cloud platform.
