Nine Network’s CEO, David Gyngell said that this new channel will offer a range of programs with a focus on the 14 to 39-year-old demographic.

“Typical programs on GO! will be favourites such as Gossip Girl, The Hills, FRINGE, Terminator – Sarah Connor Chronicles, Weeds, The Wire, Survivor, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, CSI and hit comedy series Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm,” says Gyngell.

IceTV says that while a user’s digital TV recorder will update the information automatically, some users may need to re-scan the channels on their recorders. The new channel will appear on channel number 99 for areas that receive Nine, while areas that receive Win or NBN can watch it on channel 88.

“It can take up to two weeks before information will be available in the IceTV Guide, but we will be adding guide information as it becomes available to us,” says IceTV.

The company has also issued a step-by-step solution for Windows, Beyonwiz, EyeTV, and Topfield users who use the IceTV service.

For Beyonwiz users you may need to do the following:

  • Re-scan the channels if necessary to pick-up the new GO! channel.
  • Go into the “Setup” of the Beyonwiz.
  • Go across to the fourth tab at the top of the screen, it will be labelled “System”.
  • Go down to “Initialize”.
  • Select “Clear IceGuide Disk Cache”.
  • Click “Yes” to confirm this.

For EyeTV users you may need to do the following:

  • Re-scan the channels if necessary to pick-up the new GO! channel.
  • Open the “EyeTV Programs” window of EyeTV.
  • Go to the “Program Guide” screen from the list on the left hand side of the screen.
  • Click on the ‘gear’ icon at the top of the screen.
  • Select “Clear EPG Database” from the list.

For Topfield users you may need to do the following:

  • Re-scan the channels if necessary to pick-up the new GO! channel.
  • During the next guide update the channel list will be updated automatically.
