IFA which is the European equivalent of CES kicks off on September 2 in Berlin and ChannelNews will be there to bring you all the news from the show floor.
Several big brands in the consumer electronics and appliance markets are set to release new products, among them will be Acer, Lenovo, Hitachi, Panasonic and Samsung.
Acer
Acer has an early press conference scheduled at the start of IFA 2015 among the new products to be announced are new gaming and notebook products that will be sold in Australia, the rumours are suggesting that Acer will be launching Windows Phones designed for the new Windows 10 OS.

Samsung
Samsung traditionally uses IFA as the platform to launch its Galaxy Note device. The Galaxy Note 5 was announced at a Samsung Unpacked event in New York on 13 August, along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
During the event, Samsung also confirmed it would be unveiling a round smartwatch at IFA instead – which will go by the name of Gear S2, although it was previously rumoured as the Gear A.
Samsung it pitching it very much as a fashion device. It’s expected to run on Tizen rather than Android Wear and we’ve already had the chance to look at some of the UI and design.
Motorola
Motorola has been busy, launching the new Moto G and Moto X Play and Moto X Style recently.
There’s one rumoured device that’s missing, however, and that’s the revamped version of the Moto 360 smartwatch. ChannelNews understands that Lenovo who now own Motorola will be making an announcement at IFA re the launch of Lenovo or Motorola smartphones in Australia
Asus
Asus has invited the press to an event, but there’s no word on what might be expected. We’ve seen updates to a wide range of Asus products recently, but we think there will be some updates to laptops as well as ZenFone mobile devices.

Huawei
Huawei has sent out invitations using a pin screen with an S pressed into it. This suggest that there’s going to be some sort of device launch.
Rumours have previously been suggesting that Huawei was going to announcing its latest big-screen device, going by the name Mate 8. However, there’s now a suggestion that we’ll be seeing the Mate S, or a Mate 7S instead.
LG
LG always likes to make a few launches at IFA, but often reveals those devices in the weeks before the show opens. We’ve already had the announcement of a curved soundbar from the company, fitting in with the Music Flow family of devices.
We’re expecting plenty more however. There’s rumour that LG is working on a new version of the Nexus 5, although Google has never launched Nexus devices at IFA before.
Panasonic
Panasonic has a press conference scheduled for IFA. We suspect this will be focusing on TV and AV rather than cameras, probably updating release schedules for new Panasonic TV sets.
We’ve seen some strange prototypes from Panasonic at IFA before, however, including the crazy Lumix CM1, so we’re hoping for plenty more excitement.
Philips
Philips has a press event scheduled and it’s usually the case of bringing all the Philips brands and sub-brands together. We’re sure there will be some exciting kitchen goods, but there’s likely to be TV announcements from TP Vision, including some Android TV enhancements, as well as audio announcements from Gibson. With smart home very much of the moment, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was something from Philips Hue too.
Sony
Sony surprised everyone when it chose not to launch a successor to the Xperia Z3 at Mobile World Congress, choosing July for the launch of the Xperia Z3+ instead. The company has a habit of launching two flagship devices a year though, and rumours have already started for the Xperia Z5.
This is likely to be a proper flagship replacement, where the Xperia Z3+ was seen as something of an incremental replacement. Sony often uses IFA as a launch pad for a range of products, including TVs and home entertainment devices, audio and digital imaging.
TomTom
TomTom has told us it will be holding a press conference at IFA, but it has not given any hints as to what we might see at it. TomTom has already updated its navigation devices and launched the Bandit action camera. We suspect it will be another device in the sports category, perhaps some sort of wearable.
It’s worth noting that TomTom hasn’t really had a presence at IFA before, so whatever it’s planning, it’s looking for a big international audience.
