LG Electronics has further attempted to turnaround its struggling mobile phone business, with the unveiling of its new multimedia focused ‘K Series’ at IFA 2019.
The new K50S and K40S smartphones are tipped to not launch in Australia, but will release in Europe, Latin America and Europe from October – boasting “flagship features with friendlier prices.”
It comes as competition in the global mid-tier smartphone market continues to intensify, with the LG K50S sporting three rear cameras including a depth sensor.
The devices claim to provide immersive gaming and multimedia consumption, with minimal bezels.
“These new K series devices offer an optimized multimedia experience that are competitive with the best smartphones in the price range,” asserts Morris Lee, senior vice president at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
“With enhanced screens and more versatile cameras, the K50S and K40S represent exceptional value that demonstrate LG’s commitment to putting consumers’ needs first.”
