Lenovo has added to its Medion brand range at IFA 2015 in Berlin, unveiling two new high-end X-Series gaming notebooks, the Medion Erazer X7841 and Medion Erazer X7843.Sporting a new rubberised design, and running some of the latest hardware, Medion states the notebooks “are able to handle even extremely resource-intensive games”.
Measuring in at 34 mm thin, the notebooks, which come with Windows 10 pre-installed, are powered by sixth generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ processors and can be equipped with up to 32 GB DDR4 SDRAM.
In terms of graphics, the X7841 runs Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M with 3 GB GDDR5, while the X7843 goes a
step further, running Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M with 4 or 8 GB GDDR5 memory, with both cards supporting the new DirectX 12 graphics interface.
The X7841 and X7843 sport full-HD 17.3″ widescreen LED backlight displays and IPS technology, optionally with Nvidia G-Sync function. Two 2.5″ hard disk drives or solid-state hybrid drives provide a total memory capacity of up to 3,000 GB, while up to two solid-state drives with up to 512 GB in M.2-format can be added on request.
Medion will also have the Medion Erazer X7843 Special Edition on display at IFA, decked out with an overclockable Intel Core i7-6820HK processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics, 8 GB GDDR5 memory, 32 GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX Impact RAM and a 480 GB Kingston HyperX Savage solid-state drive.
