Latest ‘3’ rumours doing the rounds say Apple will up the ante on specs as a slew of rivals like Amazon and Samsung challenge its tab reign.

Apple’s iPad 3, is tipped have a March release date by Bloomberg, will boast a high-res, high def display, will be 4G LTE ready and will sport a quad-core processor, meaning never-before computing speeds from an iPad.
Its current iPad 2 model sports 1GHz dual-core A5 chip, thus if ‘3’ if rumours are true, the tab will be double the speed of 2 (maybe it should be called iPad 2 X 2).

This semi-corroborates a separate report earlier this month: Apple could be dropping the price of its prized tablet to $299 (Wi-Fi), and will release two separate models – one for the high end – and another mid tier device.
Supply chain publication Digitimes indicated the two new iPad’s will both be equipped with an A6 processor.
The high-end model will come with a high resolution panel (2048×1536) and the mid-tier model featuring the same grade of panel as iPad 2 (1024×768), the report states.
Current production is already being ramped up ahead of a mass roll out of the iPad 3 in March next, according to Bloomberg sources.
However on Friday, Cupertino in a shock move, admitted to supplier violations in China in particular and named out 156 companies involved in its supply chain – a first for the notable top secret techie.
Worker abuses, an issue closely associated with Apple suppliers including Foxxconn in the past and resulted in worker injuries and deaths, included pay, environmental practices and benefits, the company said, vowing to eliminate adverse conditions of its third party companies.
