Apps can do a lot of things but now has released one promising to ‘cure’ homosexuality.
The application, created by Exodus International, a religious Christian outfit based in Florida, US, which according to their website is “designed to be a useful resource for men, women, parents, students, and ministry leaders.”
The app is openly advertised on its site and available on IiTunes has a 4+ rating, which indicates it does not contain unwarranted material.
The organisation says its aim is to create “resources that are easily accessible and helpful for today’s culture.”
The gay ‘cures’ proffered include reducing homosexual temptations, and strengthening homosexuals’ sense of masculine or feminine identity.
More than 37,000 signatures petitioning the tech giant to drop the software have already been gathered, according to The Telegraph in the UK.
Its not the first time Apple have made an oversight like this.
Last year it was forced to pull a previous app discouraging gay marriage.
