iPrimus has commented on the new broadband plans of Telstra, with its Marketing and Product General Manager stating that the company is still well behind industry standards.
Marketing and Product General Manager for iPrimus, Andrew Sims said, “Online gaming and video usage in Australia has been significant for several years so for Telstra to only just realise this and update their plans accordingly, shows their lack of understanding and commitment to their customers. Yet their best offers announced yesterday still comes nowhere near matching plans offered by the rest of the industry.”
“For example, for the same price and at the same speed, the iPrimus Starter Plus ADSL2+ plan offers five times more data allowance than the Telstra plan. I struggle to understand how they can justify the price differential to their customers,” said Mr. Sims.
Telstra has announced yesterday that its new broadband will offer: ten times more data allowance on its entry plan, new 100GB and 200GB plans to ‘satisfy the growing demand for movie downloads and more family members connecting at the same time, as well as $59.95 for its BigPond Elite Liberty (12GB) plan.
