‘Leaked’ pictures ahead of official launchThe Verge has published some pictures of the rumoured Samsung Virtual Reality headset, which goes by the name ‘Gear VR’.
It is believed to have a detachable lens that transforms a smartphone display into an immersive virtual world ideal for gaming. The headset is said to connect with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, possibly via a micro USB.

Th report suggests Gear VR will be officially unveiled early next month and will also make an appearance at IFA Berlin, kicking off on September 05.
The new Samsung Note 4 is also said to be unwrapped alongside Gear VR.
VR is the next big thing in gaming and Gear VR could be a huge event for Samsung if gets it right, especially if it bundles the headset with Note 4 smartphone, rumoured to have a 5.7″ screen.
Facebook-owned Oculus was said to be giving Samsung a hand on the device, codenamed Project Moonlight, although this is not confirmed.
