The iRS is aimed particularly at suspicious spouses snooping on their other half as well as business uers and parents looking to recover deleted texts, music or other information sent on an Apple smartphone.
It has also been a hit with the police forces looking to track data as part of investigations, say its makers Paraben.
“This gadget is good for everyone from suspicious wives and husbands to girlfriends and boyfriends,” said Ray Couch, from Paraben.
‘It’s also aimed at the employer who suspects foul play from a member of staff and even the police.’
The iRecovery Stick (iRS) is a thumb-drive USB device, which is connected to the port and then to the iPhone via the PC with cables provided. It runs on Windows systems XP, Vista, 2000, and 7.
Once the two devices are connected; run the built-in software on the iRS and recover the data with the click of a button.
The data recovery process takes “several hours” to do the business and is capable of recovering different data including texts, contacts, call history, and calendar entries, say its makers.
The recovery process will also download the contents of the phone such as contacts, call history, text messages, pictures, and all other user data that can normally be backed up.
And it supports all iPhones running any OS through iOS 4.3.
However, there is one snag for snoopers: you must know the PIN code of the phone before iRS can go to work.
The wizard stick sells here for $199 and is currently only available in Computer Wizz.
Paraben also make a porn detection stick to help users identify a PC infected with porn images.
