Apple has revealed that it has sold over two billion songs, 50 million TV episodes and over 1.3 million movies from the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com).
The company says this makes it the world’s most popular online music, TV and movie store.
“iTunes has crossed another major milestone by selling over two billion songs with over a billion of them sold in the last year alone, making it by far the worlds most popular music store,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
The iTunes Store in the US now features a substantial catalogue with over four million songs, 250 feature films, 350 television shows and over 100,000 podcasts, though these are not all available via the Australian store.
The launch of Apple TV also means you can wirelessly play your iTunes content from your Mac or PC, including movies, TV shows, music, photos and podcasts on a widescreen TV.
