Jabra has released its newest pair of Bluetooth earphones targeting the fitness crowd in the increasingly popular wireless audio market.
The Jabra Elite Active 45e ($179) headphones are waterproof, with an earhook-and-wing design promising secure fitment even during strenuous exercise.
The set claims 9 hours use from a single charge, but unlike true wireless rivals, the Elite Active 45e has no included charging case.
Fast charging is said to provide another hour of listening off a 15 minute charge.
An open-ear form factor is designed to allow ambient noise in, helping keep listeners aware of their surroundings and safe around traffic, particularly while jogging and cycling.
Users can also customise their headphones through the Jabra Sound+ app.
The earphones’ IP67 rating are backed up by a 2-year warranty, including against defects from sweat and dust.
Jabra’s Elite Active 45e come in black, navy and mint and are now available direct from the Jabra website and soon on Amazon, with floorstock expected to hit other retailers in the coming weeks.
