JayCar is growing up – and out – with a move into QLD Cairns and Townsville with mammonth new stores. Major demand for Jaycar products in Queensland has resulted in two stores relocating to sites up to three times the size of the originals, it announced today.

The recently relocated Cairns and Townsville mega-stores, add to the 75-strong retail network of local based JayCar stores across Australia and New Zealand, which sell everything from car audio to lighting and tools.
Jaycar’s is marking its 30th birthday in the business, which it says is “booming” with seven new stores and relocations so far this year – a marked contrast to the woes high street stalwarts Dick Smith and Harvey Norman are currently experiencing.
“These Queensland stores started to burst at the seams with demand for our products. The new stores can carry a much larger amount of products, helping us better satisfy all of our customers, all the time,” Murray Roberts, Jaycar Marketing Manager, said.
“Now in more convenient locations and with more on-site parking, the new stores make it easier for our customers to do their shopping.”
The new open plan store sizes will not only account for a larger product range, but will give us more room for interactive displays so customers have easier access to view products.”
“Providing the quality products our customers are looking for is important to us. These large new stores are helping us improve our offering by making it easier than ever for locals to get their hands on the newest Jaycar gadgets,” Roberts said.
