For those in the market for a new home security system, the savings could be significant this week with JB Hi-Fi offering $300 off Swann’s NVR4-7085 4 Channel DVR & 4-Camera Security System.The offer is available for those with a JB Hi-Fi mailing list membership, with the NVR4-7085 normally carrying a price tag of $798.

Swann’s 4 channel 720p network video recorder comes with a pre-installed 1 TB hard drive, 4 x 720p (1 MP) cameras, SwannLink Peer to Peer easy network connection software, has VGA and HDMI outputs, and can transfer to external storage via USB or network.

The NVR4-7085 has 25 m night vision, with continuous recording from 4 channels for 48 days-plus possible via the 1 TB hard drive, or even longer with motion detection.

Live viewing can be enabled on a smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android devices) using the free SwannView Link app, with email notifications if there is activity.

The offer runs until Sunday, February 1.
