JB Hi Fi is set to announce their results this morning with some observers tipping that Woolworths will announce the sale of their Dick Smith stores this week.According to QBE Insurance sources, any new buyer of the Dick Smith chain will have to renegotiate Insurance terms due to the chain not having the benefit of Woolworths as their financial backer.
During the past 18 months QBE, who has a major share of the consumer electronics and IT retail market for trade liability insurance, has been hit by several retail failures including Clive Peeters, Retravision Southern and Wow Sight and Sound in Queensland.
