It might have been a leap from retail to digital, but JB HiFi’s Now service is making headway.
Earlier this week, the company tweeted its Now service streamed its 10,000,000th song.

JB launched its Now music service in April. Many cloud music offerings have come and gone since, but the yellow retailer’s offering has proved popular with mobile users. In fact, the local music service has been holding its own against international offerings according to the daily download ranking for free music apps on Apple’s iTunes Store.

Although Spotify dominates the top spot, they offer a free subscription service, whereas JB HiFi’s Now starts from $6.88 a month.
The free-to-download application allows users to stream music wirelessly from the cloud, synchronising your existing music account across your smartphone and computer.
A clever little feature of the application is the ability to store music onto your phone so users can play music when they don’t have an internet connection.
