JBL has finally released its perennially delayed Link Bar in Australia (A$599.95), over a year after unveiling – a hybrid device which integrates Android-TV functionality within a soundbar.
The JBL Link Bar was unveiled back in May 2018, and reportedly missed its last two broader release windows.
The Link Bar is now “in stock” and available to purchase on JBL Australia’s website, alongside select local retailers.
With built-in Google Assistant, the soundbar offers robust audio, and “transforms any TV” into an Android smart TV.
Users can trigger “Ok Google…” commands for Netflix streaming, YouTube perusal and more,
Built-in Chromecast capabilities enhance functionality, supporting high-definition video, content and sound.
The Link Bar offers multiple HDMI inputs and a one-cable connection to a TV, with seamless transition across devices via voice commands – e.g. “Okay Google, switch to Blu-ray player.”
Also available is an optional subwoofer (A$399.95), bringing the total package to under A$1000.
