Phil Cronin the current Managing Director of Intel Australia is set to be replaced by long time Intel employee Kate Burleigh. The offical announcement is expected tomorrow.
Cronin who was appointed General Manager of Intel Australia has seen the Company transition from being a key component Company in Australia to today being Marketing Company for Intel powered PC’s including the new line up of Ultrabook’s now being sold by several vendors.
Burleigh is a former PR Manager at Intel Australia who later became the Corporations Marketing Manager for Intel Australia; she has worked for Intel for more than 14 years. Kate also managered Intel Australia’s reseller channel.
Cronin who is set to take on a regional role for Intel while still being based in Australia joined Intel in 1997, has been promoted to Director of Regional Sales & Business Development for Asia-Pacific.
He was a national board member of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and has led two of its industry task forces on the IT skills shortage and the NBN.
