Additional features have been added to Kayo Sports today, allowing users to easily search for their favourite content and access live in-depth ‘interactive stats’ for whatever they’re watching.
‘Interactive Stats’ is sure to get hardcore sports fans excited, providing live analysis and critical statistics during playback, helping to inform your knowledge of the game beyond what’s already on the broadcast.
Similar to the Stats & More feature (pictured below) which already features match summaries, key moments and other info for the sports event.
A suite of complementary graphics will be displayed for some of Kayo’s major sports, though no word yet on how the interactive stats will look visually in comparison to Stats & More.
The interactive graphics will be available for AFL, NRL, cricket, A-League and Super Rugby, with support for Apple TV, iOS and Desktop streaming.
Also released is the long-awaited introduction of the search feature, initially previewed in beta form.
While Kayo has always been easily accessible through its sports category listing, locating specific games and matches was a challenge.
Finally, users can now search for the exact game or match they are looking for, without going through multiple menus and selections.
Unfortunately, the feature is only available on web browsers, with other devices to be supported soon.
‘With every new search, and every new click of a result, we’ll learn more about how to make search work exactly like you expect it,’ said Kayo in an answer on its Help section.
‘Once we are comfortable that it is humming nicely we will be releasing [search] on other devices.’
