Klipsch’s Reference R-15PM powered monitors are set to land in the local market, with the speakers, announced at CES 2016, to be available from late March.Part of Klipsch’s Reference series, the R-15PM are “designed with power, performance and simplicity in mind”.
Designed for simple set-up, the R-15PM sport an integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth, digital optical, analogue RCA and USB audio inputs, and are capable of being paired to devices including turntables, televisions, computers and wireless devices.
The R-15PM are decked out with individual, ultra-low noise amplifiers, eliminating the need for an A/V receiver, with a wired sub output further enhancing low frequency.
Proprietary 90-degree x 90-degree Hybrid Tractrix Horn technology coupled with Linear Travel Suspension aluminium tweeters “produce the most effective release of sound waves for clean, natural listening experiences”, with the tweeters ensuring “minimised distortion for enhanced, detailed performance”.
The R-15PM’s copper-spun IMG woofers provide “remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup or distortion”, which are coupled with ceramic motor structures, pairing with the tweeters for “highest in its class” speaker efficiency.
A dedicated IR remote provides for easy
access to system features, including dedicated source selection, track
controls and play/pause options.
The RP-15PM carry a price tag of $1,399/pair RRP, with pre-orders available from Harvey Norman and specialist hi-fi stores.
