Fujitsu Computer Products has launched a 200GB 2.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive (HDD).
It claims the MHV2200BT drive is the world’s first 200GB capacity mobile hard disk drive and that it features a hardware accelerator that maximizes native command queuing (NCQ) performance, an important feature that enables the hard disk drive controller to intelligently and simultaneously queue and re-order up to 32 instructions, resulting in a significant improvement in overall hard disk drive performance.
Other features include 4200 RPM rotational speed, native command queuing, staggered spin up, active LED support, RoHS compliance, hot plug and full DIPM and HIPM support.
