Sharp has launched its new LED-backlit LCD TV in an effort to take on market leader Samsung.

The model also comes with the following ports: HDMI x 3, AV-In x 2, Component x 2, S-Video In, PC In as well as AV, Optical Audio and headphone out terminals. Additionally, the HDMI and AQUOS Link feature allows users to seamlessly control compatible HDMI connected products using a single remote control.
Other features include an inbuilt digital tuner and Teletext and Freeview compatibility.
The LC-40LE700X is available now in a 40-inch model for $2,999.
