Lenovo who appear to be more interested in the enterprise and SMB markets in Australia than consumer has announced a new Smart TV running Android 4.0 and the Qualcomm ARM processor.The TV has a 5MP webcam, facial recognition for parental control, cloud storage and allows file sharing between the TV and a tablet, smartphone or PC.
No Lenovo Australia executives were on hand at CES to explain what the company’s consumer strategy is for Australia after the Company said that they were entering the entering the Smart TV category in most Countries around the world.

The new Lenovo TV which is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS is called the K91. Lenovo said that they have customised Google’s Android 4.0 operating system in an effort to be “ahead of Google TVs made by Samsung LG and Sony.
Under the bonnet of the 55″ Smart TV is a Qualcomm 8060 Snapdragon dual-core CPU.
The IP enabled TV which comes with HD VOD allows users to tailor their viewing history, and delivers the best picture and audio quality with 3D FPR technology delivering flicker-free video on a full HD IPS panel at 240hz with SRS TruSurround.”
Lenovo said that consumers will be able to run thousands of applications and games from the Android Market and Lenovo’s own store on the TV.
Lenovo will also join a number of other TV manufacturers in offering voice control with natural language processing and speech recognition technology via a smart remote.
