Shortly Lenovo will release the ThinkPad X220 which has a snap on external battery pack that lifts the device from 15 hours battery life to 24.
The new notebook has a 12.5-inch (up from the 12.1-inch X201)display screen that delivers 1366×768-resolution IPS display.
Available in Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, and with up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM the device will go on sale shortly in Australia.
According to Engadget there are no discrete graphics options, but you can opt to configure this one with USB 3.0 and a selection SSDs, including Intel’s 80GB and 160GB offerings.
It also has a 720p webcam, dual digital microphones for noise cancellation, and the new buttonless touchpad (aka ClickPad) come standard.
