LG is all washed up that is when it comes to flogging washing machines.
In 2014 the Korean Company sold more washing machines than any other brand. This is the seventh consecutive year that LG has outperformed their rivals.
Based on statistics compiled from Gfk, the manufacturer claimed a 12.4 percent share of the global washer market last year.
The figure was even higher for front-load washers at 14.7 percent.
This is the sixth year that LG has taken out the top load category.
In a statement, Seong-jin Jo, president and CEO of the LG Home Appliance and Air Solution business attributed its washer domination to laundry innovations like direct-drive motors for increased performance and durability; a high-pressure “TurboWash” water spray that reduces cycle time; and a “6 Motion” technology that creates six separate drum movements to better clean and protect clothes.
“Innovative features, reliable performance and outstanding design continue to be key selling points for LG premium appliances, and customers seem to agree,” he said.
