Momentum has been behind LG in the television market but from what we’ve seen at CES 2013, they’re picking up pace in smartphone, audio and the connected home segments too.
LG has been boasting passive Cinema 3D technology for years. Not only are passive 3D glasses lighter, they’re also capable of dual play gaming.

LG showcased an OLED television last year, but unfortunately it never made it to the market. Their entrant this year, the 55 inch 55EM9700, is 4mm shallow and, provided you’re wearing dual play glasses, will display two TV shows simultaneously. Best of all, it’ll go on sale in Australia by March for $12,000.

Whispers of curved smartphone displays have been lingering lately, but LG has bigger ideas. This 55 OLED subtly curves to improve side viewing angles. Not to be outdone, Samsung also showcased a 55 inch curved OLED television.

LG’s 84 inch UHD television is a marvel. It now sits in company with 55 and 65 inch models.

As long as the Optimus G comes out sooner and not later, it’ll shake up the smartphone industry. It uses a quad core 1.5GHz chipset, has 2GB of RAM, a 2,100mAh battery, a 12MP camera and the new Miracast standard, which allows you to easily display smartphone content on your television. The 4.7 inch screen has a HD resolution and incorporates touch sensors directly into the panel.

LG’s latest range of appliances communicate with one another. Right from the comfort of your living room, you’ll be able to manage your oven, lighting, vacuum, fridge, dryer and washer from your television.
