Momentum has been behind LG in the television market but from what we’ve seen at CES 2013, they’re picking up pace in smartphone, audio and the connected home segments too.

LG showcased an OLED television last year, but unfortunately it never made it to the market. Their entrant this year, the 55 inch 55EM9700, is 4mm shallow and, provided you’re wearing dual play glasses, will display two TV shows simultaneously. Best of all, it’ll go on sale in Australia by March for $12,000.

As long as the Optimus G comes out sooner and not later, it’ll shake up the smartphone industry. The 4.7 inch screen has a HD resolution and incorporates touch sensors directly into the panel.
