Ahead of the company’s CES showcase, LG have announced that their next generation Super Ultra HD TVs will be on display and employ what the company says is “the most advanced color-enhancing LCD panel technology to date.”
According to the company, the range leverages new Nano Cell technology that promises to help the 55-inch SJ9500, SJ8500 and SJ8000 achieve more realistic images than previous technology has allowed.
Brian Kwon, president of the LG Home Entertainment, says that “Nano Cell is another example of how LG is innovating and pushing the boundaries of display technology to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
In line with the company’s 2016 offerings, LG’s Super UHD TVs will all offer support for Active HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10, Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) and Technicolor’s new Advanced HDR.
As a result, even standard resolution images are processed frame-by-frame, yielding improved brightness in specific areas, enhance contrast ratios and a more visually impressive end-result.
“Whether on top of a TV stand, a part of an entertainment center or mounted on the wall, the beautiful LG SUPER UHD TV will enhance just about any home,” the company says.
Australian pricing and availability for the range has not yet been announced. ChannelNews expects more info to be announced over the next week at CES 2017 in Las Vegas.
