LG Electronics Australia has today announced the arrival of the LD-1420T1, a new dishwasher with Slim Direct Drive Motor.

Offering the latest in smart technology from LG, the Slim Direct Drive Motor allows room for larger plates, crockery and serving dishes to fit in one load. With design practicality and load efficiency in mind, LG’s Direct Drive Motor is placed vertically rather than horizontally to reduce the size of the motor.
LG’s Direct Drive Motor is unique in that it utilises fewer moving parts to reduce machine wear-and-tear and noise. At the same time it increases stability and durability.
This innovative dishwasher also comes with Flexible Basket System, where adjustable racks allow for more height so plates and dishes of most shapes and sizes will fit with ease. Long stemmed glasses are easily accommodated and the knife rack ensures large knives can be safely tucked away.
In addition, the new LG Slim Direct Drive Dishwasher comes with a UV lamp which is activated during and after the wash cycle and during the dry cycle to reduce bacteria. The extra hot rinse cycle enables the water temperature to rise at up to 80 degrees for a more hygienic wash.

LG’s new dishwasher also delivers superior functionality, by providing a half load option that ensures even a small load of dirty dishes can be hidden away and washed in a shorter amount of time.
LG’s LD-1420T1 features:
- 14 Place Settings.
- Vario Wash System – alternates water between the top and bottom arms for a more powerful spray.
- Half Load Option – this program can be selected when you want to use the dishwasher even if it’s not full. With this option, either the upper and lower basket alone can be selected to wash smaller loads to save you time.
- Flexible Basket System – Adjustable racks in both the upper and lower baskets enable you to easily cater for dishes of all shapes and sizes. Long stemmed glasses are easily accommodated and a knife rack ensures large knives can be safely tucked away.
- Hybrid Drying System – Combines ventilation and condensing drying for optimum drying results.
- UV Lamp – The UV lamp is activated during and after the wash cycle and during the dry cycle to reduce bacteria.
- Extra Hot – During the rinse cycle, water temperature rises up to 80 degrees, providing a more hygienic wash.
- Triple Spray – Triple Spray provides a better performance and cares for your dishes with a Spray Intensity Option. You can select different water pressure levels, soft, normal and strong for either a delicate for a stronger wash.

The LD-1420T1 is currently available in retail stores nationwide at the price of $1449.
