LG claims that the Infinia LEX8 is 8.8mm thin with a bezel that is 12.5mm wide, making it the ‘slimmest Full LED TV in the world’. This new TV features a thin film printed with small dots positioned in front of LEDs.
According to the company, this feature disperses light more evenly and will create better picture quality. In addition, the LEX8 has improved localised dimming in both 2D and 3D with its Micro Pixel Control. An added anti-reflection panel on the screen claims to minimise reflection from external light sources. The TV will also come with TruMotion 400Hz, 3D-capabilities, and Netcast.
LG’s President and CEO of Home Entertainment, Simon Kang said, “In creating our first television using NANO technology, LG is continuing to set new standards in TV technology and demonstrating once again that we’re pushing the envelope of home entertainment. Just as difficult as it is to watch standard TV after experiencing high definition, people will resist going back to regular LED LCD TVs after viewing the LEX8.”
