LG is set to unveil a new range of soundbars and audio systems at CES 2016, adding to its Music Flow and X-Boom audio ecosystems.LG states that its new SH6, SH7 and SH8 soundbars “provide consumers with a variety of options, making it easier to choose an audio system that suits their needs”, with each soundbar sporting a sleek, slim design.
The SH7 and SH8 come with wireless subwoofers for rich bass, complementing the speaker’s audio output, while the SH6 is comprised of six independent speaker drive units, employing an air duct structure, highlighting deep tones.
The new range of sound bars, which are equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, feature one-button setup, with access to basic soundbar functions directly on the TV remote, while Adaptive Sound Control (ASC) allows the devices to change sound settings to suit a range of media types.
LG’s three new X-Boom systems comprise two LG X-Boom Solo models, the OM7560 and OM5560, and the CM9960, with both X-Boom Solo models decked out with entire audio systems housed in single speakers.
Sample Creator provides users the ability to record sound on a compatible smartphone and wirelessly beam it to the X-Boom, which can then be added to the digital soundboard, while the LG Party Thruster lever allows users to “create stunning multicoloured light shows that sync with the system’s audio output”.
“The Music Flow series has been a tremendous success in giving LG a significant footprint in the consumer audio business,” Brian Kwon, LG Home Entertainment Company president and CEO, commented.
“Our newest soundbars and X-Boom audio systems present an excellent opportunity for LG to draw attention to its advanced audio products at the largest consumer electronics trade show in the world.”
