LG has recently been involved in setting a new world record for the tallest house of cards built in 12 hours, with the twist being that this house of cards was erected atop an LG Centum washing machine, while it was spinning. The 3.3 metre tall structure was erected atop the LG Centum while it was spinning at 1,000 RPM by Bryan Berg, a Harvard-educated architect, consisting of 48 stories constructed with standard playing cards.
“We are thrilled for Bryan to have achieved this remarkable goal, but it’s also fantastic that this exercise helped to highlight the technological innovations that exist in some of today’s home appliances,” Jo Seong-jin, LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solutions Company CEO, commented.
“Appliances should no longer be viewed as noisy, disruptive machines, but as a home companion that can coexist unobtrusively in any laundry. This record-breaking event was a creative way to drive this point home.”
