LG have admitted to Stuff.com that they are working on an iPhone touchscreen after complaints about the sticky touchscreen on its new Renoir.

The iPhone touchscreen relies on electric currents from your fingertip as opposed to a sensory pad that is standard for most other phones going after the same type of customer. What is annoying some consumers is the wait time after touching the screen on their Renoir. Although it is milliseconds, to some it seems like forever before their phone reacts. There have been similar complaints with the LG’s Secret phone, too.

If the Renoir adopted the technology it would certainly help close the gap between the functionality of both units. That aside, the unit still has an 8 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, HSDPA and WiFi, so there is still a lot to like. Of course, those that have already bought the handset will miss out on the new interface, but that’s progress.
