The SA-KI Ruby and PM-KI Ruby, a passion project to celebrate Brand Ambassador Ken Ishiwata’s 40th anniversary with Marantz, will be available for purchase in late November to early December 2018 priced at $7,990AUD each.
The SA-KI Ruby SACD/CD player and PM-KI Ruby amplifier are limited edition with a run of only 1000 units apiece, making it a promising collector item for audiophiles.
Set apart by a laser-etched reproduction of Ishiwata’s signature with a ruby on their front-plates, the new components are designed and tuned by a team led by Ishiwata, building on his years of experience with the company, to deliver truly excellent sound.
The new SA-KI Ruby Super Audio CD player can play SACDs, CDs, and compilations on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, and features an asynchronous USB input which is able to handle formats all the way up to PCM / DXD 384kHz/32bit and DSD11.2MHz.
In addition to Marantz Musical Mastering upsampling and conversion for ultimate signal purity and isolated digital inputs to block noise from connected components.
The PM-KI Ruby pure analogue amplifier features an all-analogue design with Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ for vinyl playback with a fully-discrete two-stage design with high-resolution preamp and switching power amp, plus separate power supplies for pre and power stages for signal purity.
The Marantz SA-KI Ruby and PM-KI Ruby will be available in a limited edition of 1000 numbered units (500 black and 500 gold), with a certificate of authenticity. They’re available separately at $7,990AUD and will come with a five-year warranty on registration at www.marantz.com.au.
